On August 25, 2011, BLSA hosted the annual 2L Diversity Reception. It was an opportunity for second year UVA law students from various affinity groups to speak to potential employers about job opportunities. It was also an opportunity for students to engage in candid dialogue with these prospective employers about what considerations firms genuinely take in regards to diversity recruiting, employment and retention-- particularly in this economy.
